Numerous hiking and mountain-biking trails await you just a stone's throw from the CRJS in the Vallée d'Eure, starting from Vexin sur Epte, Giverny, Vernon, les Andelys and Fourges (GR de Pays “Coteaux de l‘’Eure”, Mont Pivin, les Vaux du Milon, Nature et Paysages, les Jeunes Pousses, l'Allée couverte, Gare à gare...).

Station to Station

Discover the Seine Valley by hiking from Rouen to Vernon in 4 stages, over a total distance of 98.3 km. This itinerary, accessible by train, mainly follows the GR®2 on the right bank of the river, making it easy to enjoy the Normandy landscapes linking each stage.

Starting at Vernon

Cycle from Vernon to discover the Impressionist landscapes that inspired Monet and his contemporaries. This ride offers a unique sensory immersion, to the peaceful rhythm of nature and art. Giverny, with its house museum and famous water lilies, immerses you in a poetic atmosphere. Along the Seine, every detour becomes a source of inspiration: the play of light, the reflections of the river and the colorful fields evoke living paintings.

Starting at Vernon

Adapté aux débutants comme aux curieux, ce voyage invite à découvrir l’histoire et les paysages de la région. Ce parcours de 195 km mêle nature, patrimoine et douceur de vivre. De superbes étapes jalonnent le trajet : cathédrales illuminées, Château d’Anet, train touristique de Pacy-sur-Eure ou encore jardins animaliers.  Une escapade dépaysante, entre charme bucolique et découvertes culturelles.

Starting at Chartres

Treat yourself and your family to a poetic, bucolic bike ride around Poses. This safe, four-stage route combines nature, culture and relaxation. Discover the Biotropica wildlife gardens, then the Musée de la Batellerie, before taking a picnic break by the water. Watch the swans, then finish off at the Léry-Poses leisure park, where you'll enjoy games, nature and laughter. A gentle, joyful stroll, ideal for young and old alike.

From the Vernon-Giverny train station, set off on a 5-day cycling trip through the Eure, where nature, heritage and legends meet. On 180 km of small roads, explore emblematic sites such as Monet's gardens, Château Gaillard or Gisors. This journey takes you from the plains of the Vexin to the forests of Lyons, to the cliffs of the Seine Valley.  A gentle immersion in the heart of the cradle of Impressionism.

Vernon is an ideal gateway to the London–Paris Greenway. This famous cycle route connecting London to Paris offers a signposted itinerary accessible to all, starting in Vernon. With just a few turns of the pedals, you can ride along the Seine, cross bucolic landscapes, and discover charming villages.

Hiking trip idea under the stars at the CRJS

The CRJS is an ideal starting point for accessible, scenic hikes with varied landscapes (the Seine, hillsides, charming villages, etc.).


Just one hour from Paris, enjoy an all-inclusive stay at the CRJS (accommodation, dinner, picnic basket, communal lounge, etc.), allowing you to spend a weekend or short break enjoying nature without having to use your car.

The route follows the GR®2 variant, crosses Giverny, and returns to the starting point after a loop through the woods above Giverny before returning along the Seine via the GR®2.

This hike will take you along the banks of the Seine, then through some woodland.
